Resolution is the ability of the camera to gather images for higher picture quality. The higher the resolution of the camera, the better picture quality you will have. The higher the resolution in recording, the better picture you will receive but you will have less recording time due to more FPS.

Nikon went on to team up with Fuji Films producing the E2 and E2S digital still cameras in 1995. In 1997 Nikon then introduced their first digital camera called the CoolPix 100.
